# Accessing the Platform and Home

## Accessing BlueRock

After completing the BlueRock installation and setup, access the BlueRock platform using the Dashboard URL provided for your deployment.

Use the following format:

```
https://<dashboard-hostname>/home
```

Replace `<dashboard-hostname>` with the hostname configured for your BlueRock deployment.

Open the URL in a supported web browser to access the BlueRock Dashboard.

## Home

### Overview

The Home page provides a high-level view of activity across the BlueRock platform. It brings together security alerts, policy violations, cost information, agent activity, policy status, and operational health.

The Home page contains the following sections:

* **Security** — Displays open alerts, alert activity, violations, and the latest alert types.
* **Cost** — Displays estimated spending, top spenders, spending by model, and cost alerts.
* **Agents** — Displays active agents, agent types, top agents, and the most alerted agents.
* **Policy** — Displays policies awaiting review and deployed policy status.
* **Ops** — Displays fleet availability, offline hosts, operational alerts, and user activity.

Each section uses summary cards, charts, or lists to provide an overview of activity in the environment.

### Time Range

The time-range selector appears in the upper-right corner of the Home page. The latest screenshot shows **All time (max retention)** as the selected range.

The metrics and activity displayed on the dashboard correspond to the selected time range. The available information depends on the data recorded and retained by the environment.

### Security

The Security section provides an overview of alerts and policy violations recorded in the BlueRock environment.

<figure><img src="https://1983702018-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FCNnVnPvaRpvlLmPT6IAN%2Fuploads%2FCBJyxhBaZl9lu3yL9Cn0%2FHome%20New%20Security.png?alt=media&amp;token=860a216e-1dff-46c2-9f5c-a428d1b0e830" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

#### Open Alerts

The Open alerts card displays the number of alerts that are currently open, along with severity indicators.

Use this card to review the open-alert count and its displayed severity distribution.

#### Alerts Raised

The Alerts raised chart displays alert activity over time. The chart includes a severity indicator and a timeline of recorded alert activity.

Use the chart to identify changes in alert activity during the selected time range.

#### Violations

The Violations card summarizes blocked and flagged violations.

The card includes:

* **Blocked** — Displays the count of blocked violations.
* **Flagged** — Displays the count of flagged violations.
* **Type** — Identifies the violation category and displays its corresponding blocked and flagged counts.

A notice below the summary indicates the reporting period and the longest retention period allowed by the server.

#### Latest Alert Types

The Latest alert types card lists recently observed alert types and indicates when each type was last recorded.

The displayed examples include Sensitive Files and cost-related alerts, such as per-agent and per-host hourly spend anomalies.

### Cost

The Cost section provides a high-level summary of estimated spending and cost-related alerts.

<figure><img src="https://1983702018-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FCNnVnPvaRpvlLmPT6IAN%2Fuploads%2FFt7NZo4k1GBW1iAUqHV8%2FHome%20Cost%20New.png?alt=media&amp;token=dfba8ad5-2fe3-4a48-8a92-eddd877e455f" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

#### Estimated Spend

The Estimated spend card displays the estimated cost for the selected period.

The card may also display a notice indicating that one or more agents have not been costed.

Estimated spend is based on actual LLM traffic. The value may take time to stabilize after the first LLM traffic is received because cost information is calculated using hourly data.

Deployment alone does not populate estimated spend; actual LLM traffic is required.

#### Top Spenders

The Top spenders card lists spending entities and their associated estimated costs.

When spending cannot be attributed to a specific entity, the card may display an **Unattributed** entry.

#### Spend by Model

The Spend by model card lists models and their associated estimated spending.

Use this card to compare the displayed estimated costs across models.

#### Cost Alerts

The Cost alerts card displays the number of open cost alerts and associated severity indicators.

Use this card to review cost-related alerts that may require further investigation.

For detailed cost and usage analysis, see **Cost Management**.

### Agents

The Agents section provides a summary of agent activity during the selected period.

<figure><img src="https://1983702018-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FCNnVnPvaRpvlLmPT6IAN%2Fuploads%2F7fxuIzW1GT0FwjjXWlJP%2FAgents%20Home%20New.png?alt=media&amp;token=dbc5f32b-6709-43c5-8802-cb5c71348823" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

#### Active Agents

The Active agents card displays the number of active agents for the selected period.

#### Agents by Type

The Agents by type card groups agents by type and displays the corresponding count for each type.

#### Top Agents

The Top agents card lists agents and their associated activity information. The displayed information includes the agent identity, run count, and token usage.

#### Most Alerted Agents

The Most alerted agents card lists agents associated with alerts and displays severity indicators for each entry.

Use this card to identify agents associated with alert activity.

### Policy

The Policy section provides a high-level summary of policy review and deployment status.

<figure><img src="https://1983702018-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FCNnVnPvaRpvlLmPT6IAN%2Fuploads%2FpozbKrk463RGztDOJNFh%2Fimage%20(20).png?alt=media&amp;token=c0888343-974d-452d-9060-398e45ce1b27" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

#### Policy Coverage

The Policy coverage card displays the percentage of hosts covered by policies. It may also display a notice when no policies have been configured.

#### Uncovered Hosts

The Uncovered hosts card displays information about hosts that are not covered by policies.

#### Policies Awaiting Review

The Policies awaiting review card displays the number of policies awaiting review.

#### Deployed Policies

The Deployed policies card summarizes policy deployment status. The displayed value or status depends on the policy deployment information available in the environment.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.bluerock.io/bluerock-dashboard/accessing-the-platform-and-home.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
